Today's performance by the Ka Hale I O Kahala Halau was something to see. You could see the excitement and joy on the faces of the keiki and adult hula dancers. Their smiles had enough energy to light up that huge christmas tree behind them. All I can say is, there is nothing like Christmas in Hawaii, because no other place has that same home town feeling. I love covering all kinds of "Hawaii Local News" including Sports and events here in Hawaii, especially of kids that "should be recognized and are not." If you don't have the time to be at these games or events, or are looking for a great photo or know of a sports event or event coming up, email me at alanksportshawaii@gmail.com.
Aloha! A friend of mine linked me to this post and it was very enjoyable. I actually have a little doll named Maiki, and she is named after the great Maiki Aiu Lake. It's so wonderful to hear about people who were blessed enough to study under her. Thanks again for posting this. :)
