Moanalua Na Menhune Varsity Girls Softball Team Finished 12-0 in 2013 OIA East Division

What a game on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Moanalua High School Softball field. Kaimuki Bulldogs Varsity Girls Softball (8-2) faced up against Moanalua Na Menehune (10-0). Talk about power, it was a game of "pitcher power," Kaimuki pitcher #2 Ehlen Awaya and starting pitcher for the Na Menehune #5 Cyanne Fernandez (photo below) and continued by #20 Leisha Yamauchi.

Both were throwing strike balls all morning which kept the game score 2-2 up into the 10th inning. The pitching was so "hot" that it was cooled off by a heavy down pour, and the game had to be stopped in the 10th inning with the score still at 2-2. Both pitchers were hot and on target, including Moanalua #20 Leisha Yamauchi. This game was determined as to who could throw the most strikes and strikes they came all morning!  The game was continued on Saturday, April 6, 2013. It was a re-match for both teams and Na Menehune took the lead and ended the game 10-0 with great pitching by Moanalua #20 Leisha Yamauchi and a catch by Jadeen Sakauye (photo above).Click here" for more photos of today's game and "Saturday."
