Today at Ke'ehi Lagoon, it was the start of the 2014-2015 OIA High School Paddling and Long Distance Race. It was a beautiful day here on Oahu after heavy winds and rain this past week. There was some minor bumping today among some of the canoe clubs and a collision that overturned a canoe (photo above), but luckily no one was seriously injured. Next Saturday, December 27, 2014 they will be another High School Long Distance race at Ke'ehi Lagoon.
Participating in today's race in the Eastern Division; Anuenue, Castle, Farrington, Kahuku, Kailua, Kaimuki, Kaiser, Kalaheo, Kalani, McKinley, Moanalua, Roosevelt.
