Waipahu Marauders and Pearl City Chargers Battle for #2 Spot in The OIA White Division

Today, Waipahu High School challenged Pearl City for the number two spot in the OIA White division behind Kaimuki, who is in first place. The JV started off with a win for the Pearl City Chargers, 36-0. The Waipahu Marauders just couldn't get off the ground, especially with the strong defense by the Chargers.

As for the Varsity game, the Waipahu Marauders scored the first TD by RB #38, Gregorio Allp (photo above) in the first quarter with 4:40 on the clock. They missed the extra point, blocked by DB #25 Kapena Akiona of the Chargers, but in the fourth quarter recovered a safety for two points. Both teams had their share of penalties, but in the end, the Chargers held on with their strong defense and took the game 13-8, which puts them in second place, and the Marauders in third place in their division.
