Welcome to the 2011 OIA Football season. We are in for an exciting season in high school football with new coaches and players. I was at the Moanalua JV and Varsity scrimmages on Friday, August 5, 2011 against Kaimuki High School lead by head couch, Clint Onigami. The JV game started at 4:00pm followed by the Varsity at 6:00pm. Families on both sides came out to watch and cheer for both teams as they set out onto the field. It was hard to tell the players apart with just their scrimmage jersey on. From what I could see, the Moanalua JV team looks like they have a promising season ahead of them. They have a new quarterback with good mobility and connection with his receivers as shown above, running for a TD . I won't mention any names of players at this time, but check back because I will be covering more Moanalua High School football games and this week, Friday August 12, 2011 is the Pre-Season game against Mililani. Thank you to Moanalua High School Athletic Director Joel Kawachi and Coach Arnold Martinez for the opportunity to come out to their 2011 season football scrimmage game against Kaimuki. 2011 Football Season Is Back with A Lot Of New Game Plays and Players
